Knit across your row as usual with the contrast colour.
Slide the stitches to the other end of the needle. Knit one row in the main colour.
Purl one row in the contrast colour.
Slide the stitches to the other end of the needle. Purl one row in the main colour.
Repeat steps 2 to 5 to continue working in stripes.
