Left leaning purl decreases are the most common purl decrease. This decrease is often called a 'purl 2 together' or p2tog. This tutorial will show you how to make this easy decrease in just a few steps. This decrease is often used when you need to decrease on the wrong-side of the fabric, in rib, or when knitting in reverse stocking stitch. It can be used in any type of garment, from sweaters to scarves, hats to mittens. In collaboration with & Other Stories, we will be showing you how to work a left leaning purl decrease. We use this in our Say Wool Be There Bandana.
