Surprisingly easy to knit - if you can knit and purl, you can knit cables!
In order to knit cables, you will need one spare needle to temporarily transfer stitches too. Short, double pointed needles are ideal so make sure you have the goods ready. For the best results, try to keep your cable needle close to your project as to not affect tension.
In this video, we will show you how to make 6 stitch wide cables.
Work until you get to the cable section.
Slip the next three stitches onto your cable needle, and hold it at the back of your work.
Knit the next three stitches from the left needle.
Now knit the stitches from the cable needle.
We've now twisted a cable to the right. Next, let's do it to the left. Work until you get to the cable section.
Slip three stitches onto the cable needle and hold it in front of your work. Then knit three stitches fro the left needle.
Knit three stitches from the cable needle. You've now twisted the cable to the left!
